The way you dress, is a way YOU say to the world, What are you advertising?
Young adults should know the importance of dressing well.
We have so many college graduates that are out looking for jobs and aren’t skilled enough to know how to dress for their interviews.
Your image reflects who you are and what you are showing to the world.
No matter who you are or what you do, your image means everything to you and represents to the world the message you are sending out.
Don’t believe me?
Next time you are at a meeting, networking event, even a restaurant. Look around and see how everyone is dressed.
Where do you rank? Above or below average?
Hopefully, it is above.
And be sure to notice how people react to the folks who are well dressed…they invoke a sense of empowerment and therefore, get more attention!
Show the world you are serious about your image, and watch how people respond to you.
And dressing better doesn’t mean you need to spend a fortune on new clothes to look good.
It simply means taking pride in what you wear, how you wear it, and how you feel on the inside when you are wearing it.
Many times, just buying a few new pieces to add to your wardrobe is all you need to update your look.
And adding a few other adjustments, can do wonders for your image.
If you want to command the respect and attention of others, see how quickly people will respond to you once you start dressing better.
First of all, you will feel better about yourself.
Second, you will have more confidence, and you will hold our head higher and walk with more purpose.
So, that is what having confidence in who you are and how you present yourself to the world will affect you.
Similarly, all you have to do today is open a magazine or turn on the tv and watch the multitude of commercials that are shown to know that in today’s world, your image is everything.
From fashion models to A-list actors to top executives to career-minded individuals, it is an important issue to everyone.
If you want to be recognized as someone who is serious about their career, you will take the time to dress the part.
Especially, for that job interview!
And I don’t care what kind of job you are interviewing for? You need to dress the part.
Even if the job interview doesn’t require a suit (although I do believe young men underestimate when a suit should be worn for an interview), it is my personal philosophy, it is better to be OVERDRESSED than Underdressed any day.
I firmly believe that the line “Dress for Success” and all that it invokes, should be taught in high schools across the country.
Not just so young adults will be prepared to go on job interviews, more-so for the confidence factor.
When you have a high level of self-confidence, you automatically bring yourself to a higher level of thinking and performance.
I am a firm believer that when you feel good on the inside, you will feel good on the outside as well. That confidence radiates from you and other people feel it.
You owe it to yourself to both look and FEEL fabulous every day!
