The Magic of Thinking Big (5/17/19)

Have you ever read the book The Magic of Thinking Big by David J. Schwartz?

My personal copy of the book. As you can see, it is well worn.

If not, you should. It’s a fabulous book. Extremely inspiring and uplifting.

In my business, I speak with a lot of people about many different topics. And without a doubt, one of the most popular topics on people’s minds is how can they achieve their dreams.

Like, what steps should they be taking ?

Now, they are obviously many ways you can achieve your dreams. But, as David Schwartz points out in his book:

“Believe, really believe, you can move a mountain, and you can. Not many people believe that they can move mountains. So, as a result, not many people do.”

Think BIG. Act BIG. Believe BIG.

And that’s the reality most people believe.

That They Can’t Move Mountains!

If you were to think of self-made super-successful people off the top-of-your-head, who would you think of?

People such as Oprah, Bill Gates and Warren Buffet come to my mind. All self-made billionaires!

Do you think it was easy for them? Or do you think they had to climb a mountain or two? or three? or four?

Here’s another great passage that I love:

“Every day you and I see half-alive people who are no longer sold on themselves. They lack self-respect for their most important product – themselves. These folks are indifferent. They feel small. They feel like nobodies, and because they feel that way, that’s what they are.”

Having a Think Big attitude works for everyone. There is no one who doesn’t benefit from thinking this way.

And I know what some of you are thinking?

Oh, I can’t do that. I don’t have _fill in the blank____________.

But see, you do.

We all do.

You just have to practice it everyday.

As Zig Ziglar says about motivation…

In his book, The Magic of Thinking Big, Schwartz states you should grow these three attitudes:

  1. Grow the attitude of I’m activated.
  2. Grow the attitude of You are important.
  3. Grow the attitude of Service first.

Thinking Big, propels you to a kind of thinking not many possess.

Thinking thoughts that you can do anything if you set your mind to it.

One of the best pieces of success advice I have is:

Be consistent, be persistent, stay determined, show up every day and always believe in yourself!

And as I have said over 100 times, make sure you have positive reinforcement all around you!

Talk soon,

Patricia <3 always
