Wow, from my I’m seeing and hearing lately, there seems to be a lot of people having a hard time dealing with life lately. Or maybe it’s been a while and I just noticed.
Funny thing is, I’m seeing many people struggling over everyday things.
And yes, I know life isn’t always easy. Trust me, I am very aware of that fact.
For those that might have missed me writing about in many of my blogs, I have been through some major life shix. Stuff that I wasn’t sure how I would survive.
But I did.
And like they say when you make it through the storm. You come out stronger than when you went in. Or, you never recovered from the storm, in which case you will need more than this blog to recover.
Fortunately, there are some simple things you can do to get some leverage while navigating the ups and downs of life.
Because, I’ll be honest with you. If you don’t have some kind of handle on “life”. “Life” will have a handle on you.
And that is not what you want!
Today I’m sharing some of my best life hacks to make the going much smoother.
Here we go:
Dress Your Best. I’m not saying every time you walk out the door. I’m saying on a general basis.
I am saying, put some thought into what you are wearing. I find it hard to believe you can go out and pursue your dreams when you are dressing like shix (and yes, many of you are, I am people watching all the time)
Unless you wear a uniform to work, and can wear whatever you want, choose something that’s clean, matches and has all it’s buttons and no stain marks. Sounds simple enough.
And those little extras like…
Style your hair nicely. If need be, get a hair cut.🌷🌷🌷
Shave. Use deodorant. A little cologne goes a long way.
Put on a dab perfume or your favorite body spray.🍋🍋🍋
Apply some make-up (even if it’s simply lip gloss).
Take good care of your skin. It will make you feel better when you look in the mirror and like what you see.
No matter what you do, get up, get dressed and get going!
You won’t believe how good you will feel, how much better you will interact with others AND how others will perceive you.
You will carry yourself with more confidence throughout the day and I guarantee you, that by the end of the day, your confidence will be soaring.
Smile. You have all heard me say this a million times.
When you walk out your door tomorrow, make it a point to smile to whoever you come across. Your significant other, the cashier at the coffee shop, co-workers, you get the idea.https://www.ninefrogs.com/the-winner-in-you-7-15-19/
Even if you aren’t feeling it, do it anyway and I will guarantee you the process alone will start to make you feel better.
What is your body language saying these days?
Think about that, because that is how people perceive you.
Are you giving off positive vibes? Hopefully the answer is yes.🌈🌈🌈
Are you making eye-contact with everyone you have a conversation with? This is so important for your relationships with others. It really lets people know you are really listening to them.
How would you like to be having a conversation with someone and the whole time they are either looking over your shoulder, or worse, the floor?
De-Tox on the negativity. And God knows, there is SO MUCH negativity out there these days.
Like a TON of it.
It has literally infiltrated every area of our lives.
And it is up to us to shut it down.
As for me, I don’t read the newspaper, ever.
I don’t follow anyone who spreads any kind of negativity.
I only listen to WFUV, best radio station in NYC.🗽🗽🗽
My office is filled with inspirational and motivational books.
I keep my circle small. Like, really small. And only, positive, supportive people are in it!
You need to shut that shix down asap!
Nothing is going to ruin your good mood more than taking in all the negativity that is flying around these days!
Shut it down, delete, un-follow, unsubscribe, whatever you have to do, and turn out all those bad vibes!
Then, start to take in all the good stuff, it’s out there, you just have to dig a little to find it!
Be nice. Yes, be nice. We seem to be getting away from being nice.

Open the door for someone.
Buy the person behind you a cup of coffee for no reason other than paying it forward.
Lastly, stop and smell the roses.
Every now and then, disconnect from all your electronics, Netflix and God knows what else.
Read a book.
Meet a friend for lunch.
Go to a local park and walk around for an hour.
Spend an afternoon in nature.
Stick your toes in the sand, or grass. Both work.
And after trying all the above, you are still not quite feeling it.
