This seems to be a subject many people struggle with. I have people asking me quite often, how do I get the confidence I need to do the things I want to do, but I can’t seem to do them?
The first thing you need to do, is making yourself a daily priority! Too many people themselves LAST on their list, when they should be first!
Then, start with surrounding yourself with positive, forward-thinking people. People who are going to encourage you, and lift you higher. When you surround yourself with the right people, you support and encourage one another to reach for your dreams.
For me personally, I have a few different groups of people in my life, both personally and professionally to help me out when I need them. It is vital to your growth to have these kind of people in your life.
Believe you are the best!
As in exercise. The gym. Walking. Jogging. Belly-dancing. You name it!
Just get out and move your body, at least five times a week.
It’s a known fact, when you feel good, you look good. And when you feel good about yourself, miracles start to happen!
And we all know, that when you exercise, all those endorphins are released, and those damn things make you feel even better. So, win/win!
It’s all in the way you think!
That’s why they always say, THINK POSITIVE, no matter the circumstance.

How many people network? It’s a fabulous way to meet people, and you don’t have to have your own business to do it! (A lot of people seem to think that!)
Maybe you just graduated from college? Maybe you just started your own business? Maybe you’re looking to sharpen your communication skills and build-up your self-confidence?
Maybe you just want to meet some new people?
When I first started my business back in 2012, I started networking (which I had never done before when I was in the corporate world). For me, I had to get used to saying “I am an Image Consultant and Personal Shopper.”
And you know what? After saying it ten times or so, it started seeping in. Even better, when people met me, they said, ‘Oh, I remember you, you’re that Personal Shopper lady.’ (Hey, as long as they remember you).
Networking is obviously, also a great way to meet people. Over the years I have made some great friends and have formed wonderful relationships with these people.
If you’ve never gone to one, find one this week and GO!
This is a subject near and dear to my heart as many of you know!
There is a quote by Tom Ford – “Dressing well is a form of good manners!”
You are never going to gain a high level of self-confidence if you are walking around and looking like shit!
Dress Sharp! That’s doesn’t mean you need to walk around in a 3-piece suit or, a dress and heels. It means when you walk out your front door in the morning, showing the world your best “you!” That can be done in jeans and a t-shirt if you do it right!
And don’t forget the little things, like grooming.
Keep you hair nice, if you need a haircut, get one.
Nails, on point always.
Skincare, for both women, and men. Everyone wants nice skin! Moisturizer should be your best friend.
And last but not least, SMILE 😉
It is a scientific fact that the sheer act of smiling helps you feel better and helps gain confidence! Another win/win!
