The age-old question.
Where’s my happiness and how can I find it?
I hear this so often. I was just reading an article on LinkedIn this morning on this very subject! Most people are looking for happiness in all the wrong places.https://www.ninefrogs.com/truths-word-porn-3-4-19/
Here’s my advice:
STOP WAITING FOR HAPPINESS!!!
Seriously, stop waiting for everything to be perfect to be happy.
Because it’s never going to happen.
You deserve to be happy now.
And it all starts with you!
This isn’t a dress rehearsal, this is your life, your one-time shot at it, and you deserve to be living it happy!
No person, thing OR event, is going to make you happy if you aren’t happy already.
You make YOU happy. it is a total inside job.
You make it!
Other people can ADD to your happiness. But, if you are looking for someone else to make you happy, you are setting yourself up for a huge disappointment.

And as far as all the other “things” that people think will make them happy, you should give up on that dream as well.
People say things like:
I’ll be happy when:
I lose weight.
I get a new job.
I get a boyfriend/girlfriend/wife/husband.
I buy my first house.
I get a new car.
I go on vacation.
I get married.
I have a no problems. (this is a big one, and totally unrealistic)
And so on and so on….
Again, “things” can add to your happiness, but they can’t make you happy!
I’ve experienced this first hand. My ex-husband was the worst. Always putting off his happiness, waiting for some Magical Unicorn Rainbow to happen, and then he’d be happy.
Needless to say, that never happened!
I firmly believe that’s why there as so many unhappy people in this world today. So many people are looking for happiness in all the wrong places. they need to start with themselves first.
Make yourself happy, and then see what happens!
People ask me often, what makes me happy (and where does that pretty smile come from?)…? My answer, doing the things I want, being around the people I want (my circle is extremely small these days), and doing the kind of work I want.
Is my life perfect? No. Do I have problems? Yes!
Am I happy? YES!
And I know someone out there will say, ‘well Patti, we all can’t be happy everyday.‘
But you can be most days.
Stop putting off your happiness today.
And most of all, stop putting the keys to your happiness in someone else’s pockets.https://www.ninefrogs.com/the-magic-of-thinking-big-5-17-19/
That was another lesson I had to learn the hard way.
It is YOUR happiness, and no one else’s.
YOU SO DESERVE IT ❤
