Hearts don’t actually break, Patricia,
but sometimes they’re forced to grow so fast, it feels like they have.
Sorry about that,
For every heart ache,
Patricia, you feel deeper, love greater.
I’ve learned quite a few things along the way!
Today marks my seventh year in business.
It’s hard to believe it’s only been seven, feels like forever.
I think that’s how it should feel when you are doing something you love.
When you have your own business, you literally need to eat, breathe, sleep, and dream, your business.
So, today, I am sharing my thoughts on the entrepreneur life…
Yes, it takes time. It doesn’t happen overnight.
It’s funny how people will ask you if you are a millionaire yet?
I worked in the corporate world for over twenty years,
and no one ever asked me if I was a millionaire yet.
That’s why so many people give up, because it’s hard.
Because it takes a lot of determination.
It takes great amounts of motivation, persistence and patience.
Trust me, giving up would be easy.
“The man on top of the mountain didn’t fall there.”
It has been quite a journey from where I was when I started, to where I am now (and quite honestly, I feel like I am just scratching the surface of where I want to be).
That’s the thing about entrepreneurship, it is a never ending journey of success and failure.
You that Chinese Proverb: “Fall down seven times, stand up eight”.❤❤❤
And I can say, the one thing you continually do is LEARN.
Because learning is key to you and your business’s growth.
I feel like I have learned more in these past seven years, than I have in my whole life!
I am constantly learning.
I go on LinkedIn every day (several times a day) and read the articles that appeal to me.
I am currently in the middle of re-reading The Magic of Thinking Big.
If you haven’t read it, I highly recommend you do, it is full of so much insight, not just for business, but for life!
“If you tired, learn to rest, not quit!’
As an entrepreneur it is easy to fall into “burnout”. And that is because there are so many things you want to do.
And quite frankly, it can be overwhelming.
So you need to learn, that when that feeling comes, to go for a walk, jump in your car and go for a long drive (what I’m doing tomorrow), meet a friend for lunch (preferably a friend who is sympathetic to your cause).
You get the idea.
Rome wasn’t built in a day, and your business won’t be built in a day either.
The thing about having your own business, you are your own boss.
Which, depending on how you look at it, is either a great thing, or, it can be a bad thing.
You need motivation to do all those thousand things you need to do to have a business.
And the only one who is going to make you do it is YOU.
That’s why entrepreneurs are a funny lot, we don’t mind working Saturday nights to get something done.
There is a certain beach I go to because it is the only beach that I can get a signal, because I want to be able to work from the beach.

Rule #1 – BELIEVE IN YOU!
Now, anyone who reads my blogs, knows I am a big fan of Kermit the Frog, his many words of encouragement, his humor and his inspirational quotes🐸🐸🐸
Today’s message from Kermit, is, as always, heartfelt and sweet.
“Your spirit is what keeps you going,
your attitude is how you show it to the world.”

As a business owner, some days you can feel like you are being pulled in a hundred different directions.
And some days you may question if you really have what it takes.
Here’s a quote that I love to read to help with that:
“Believe, really believe, you can move mountains, and you can.
Not many people believe that they can move mountains.
So, as a result, not many do!”
David J. Schwartz / The Magic of Thinking Big
Be wary of people offering you the moon!
I have found as a business owner, people try to “lure” you into all kinds of “deals”.
I can’t tell you how many people have told me over the years that they were going to do some “great” thing for me.
Like the guy who said he was going to get me on Fox News.
Another guy who called me and said he wanted to be my new PR guy, and that he would get me published in all the top publications.
And yet another guy who asked me to write for his magazine, only to tell me three weeks later it wasn’t working out, LOL.
Bottom line. The only person you can really count on in YOUR business is you to make things happen.
YOU make things happen!☝☝☝
And some days in this thing called life, you just have to take it one day at a time to survive.
Prince got that one right👍👍👍
That’s a wrap!
Patricia <3 always
