This is a subject near and dear to my heart and I talk to women just about every day about this subject. I find it so interesting. Obviously, our hair is our crown, it’s pretty much the first thing people see when they look at us, so I truly appreciate how important it is to a woman (and equally to a man). What fascinates me are the women who are desperate for a change in their life, and yet, won’t cut their hair?
I have said this before and I will say it again, cutting your hair, and I mean, CUTTING your hair and getting a whole new hairstyle, is the fastest way to change your image and your life. And, it will have long lasting effects. And in case anyone has forgotten, it is hair, it grows back if you don’t like it!
About five years ago I decided that I needed a change, a big change. I was just starting my business, I had lost weight and felt something inside of me saying, the time is now for a change. So I went to my hairdresser with some pictures and ideas and we discussed it. I told her I wanted something different, something edgy, something to match how I was feeling on the inside (with all the changes that were going on with me at that time). And that was it, that’s how I got my new dew! And let me tell you, I get compliments on my hair all the time. Pretty much on a daily basis, wherever I go I hear “great hair” or “I love your hair!”.
More importantly, is how I felt after getting that haircut and how I feel to this day. I felt like a new woman. I felt like my hair now matched who I was feeling like on the inside. A bit fierce, a bit edgy, and with a whole new level of confidence, something I hadn’t felt in years. That’s, what a new haircut can do for you. Coco Chanel had it right. “A woman who cuts her hair is about to change her life!”
Stay tuned, I’ll be writing more on this subject and many more beauty topics!
Till next time,
